Best interview prep tools for Switzerland
In short
Practising and preparing are two different things, and the tools split exactly there. ChatGPT runs a genuine roleplay: it asks, follows up, and lets you answer out loud — our cheatsheet does not do that, and if you want to rehearse the real thing you are better off there. Enhancv sells AI mock interviews in the same spirit. SwissJobs.app instead produces a document you take into the room: 24 boxes, each pairing a phrase quoted literally from the advert with an answer drawn from your own CV, exactly three USPs, a "tell me about yourself" of about 110 seconds, and a 45-minute pacing plan for the interview type in question — HR, hiring manager, technical, panel or final round. Anything the CV cannot back up is left empty rather than invented. Free with a free account, Premium CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year.

1. SwissJobs.appOur tool
And since September 2026 the practice interview itself: a spoken interview with the panel you expect — HR, a domain expert, whoever you type in — rated per answer, with reasoning and a pass-probability at the end. The cheatsheet prepares you; the practice makes you rehearse.

What they do better
- ChatGPT and voice assistants: a real back-and-forth. It asks, you answer out loud, it follows up — speaking practice a document cannot replace.
- Enhancv: offers AI mock interviews as a product of their own, for anyone who wants to simulate the session rather than read up for it.
- Role-specific platforms for technical interviews: live coding, system design, peer practice — formats we do not offer at all.
Where we differ
- 24 boxes: on the left a requirement quoted literally from the advert, on the right your answer — evidenced from your CV, your cover letter or your own notes.
- Exactly three USPs, each tied to a phrase in the advert, so you walk in with three sentences rather than fifteen.
- A 45-minute pacing plan matched to the interview type: HR screen, hiring manager, technical, panel or final round.
- No invented history: what your CV cannot support is left empty — that rule is written into the prompt itself.
- In the language of the interface, in all four languages a Swiss application is written in.
- And since September 2026 the practice interview itself: a spoken interview with the panel you expect — HR, a domain expert, whoever you type in — rated per answer, with reasoning and a pass-probability at the end. The cheatsheet prepares you; the practice makes you rehearse.
Why SwissJobs.app
Not one more tool, but the whole application in one place — and re-tailored to each advert instead of written once.
- Optimised per advert, in minutes. The CV check reads your CV against that specific posting, shows the missing terms and the fit score — and applies the fixes into the editor with one click. For the next role you repeat it in minutes, instead of sending one CV everywhere.
- Everything in one account. Job search, CV, motivation letter, CV check, interview prep, interview practice and the RAV record all work off the same advert and the same CV. No copying between four tools, no four subscriptions.
- Live AI interview practice. A spoken mock interview with the panel you actually expect — HR, a domain expert, whoever you name — rated per answer, with a pass-probability at the end.
- The RAV job-search record, filled from your tracker. What you already log fills the official form, instead of reconstructing it by hand at month end. It is a Swiss form that international trackers do not model.
- An editor that looks like a Swiss CV. Three typefaces, nine accent colours, two layouts — and underneath, the format that actually gets looked at here: work permit, language levels A1–C2, room for Arbeitszeugnisse.
- Our own job index alongside it. Over 21,000 Swiss roles in four languages — the advert you are optimising for lives in the same product.

Prices and free tiers
checked on the vendors’ own pages on 17 September 2026
- SwissJobs.app
- Build 1 CV, tailor it with 5 AI edits, preview it — and download it once: all free, with no account at all. No email, no card. It is the second CV and the second download that ask for an account and the 7-day trial, then CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year.
- Enhancv
- The free plan reads "Fr.0" but is "Valid for 7 days", carries "Enhancv branding" and caps the CV at twelve section items. Pro, as shown to a visitor in Switzerland, costs Fr. 22.99 a month billed monthly, Fr. 41.99 billed every three months, or Fr. 72.99 billed every six months. (Source)
About the numbers
About the numbers: every figure about another vendor comes from that vendor’s own page, fetched on 2026-09-17, and is kept as a quote. Where a vendor did not answer, that is what this page says instead of a number — prices copied out of comparison articles go stale and are often wrong on the day they are published. Our own figures come from the code rather than from marketing copy: CHF 15 a month, CHF 95 a year, 7 days free, and a free tier that costs nothing at all — not even an email address, until you want to keep the document.
FAQ
- What is the best way to prepare for a job interview?
- Two steps, and neither replaces the other: go through the advert sentence by sentence and put one example from your own history against each requirement — then say the answers out loud once. The first is paperwork, the second is speaking practice; doing only one shows in the room.
- Can I bring notes to a Swiss job interview?
- Yes. In Switzerland a sheet with keywords and your own questions reads as prepared, not as unsure. Reading aloud from it lands badly; glancing at it does not.
- What should I ask at the end of the interview?
- Things you cannot google: what success in this role looks like after six months, why the position is open, how the team is put together. Three is enough — they show you read the advert.
