Best job application tracker for Switzerland
In short
Huntr and Teal are the more mature trackers: kanban columns, browser extensions that save a role from any site, reminders and analytics. An Excel sheet, for its part, is yours forever and costs nothing. At SwissJobs.app the tracker is not a separate product but the saved list next to the job search: saved adverts with company, date and an "applied" tick, in the same account as the CV check and the CV editor — free with a free account. And the honest part no vendor likes to write: for the RAV proof of effort, none of these tools replaces the official form. Monthly Arbeitsbemühungen are proved where your own RAV asks for them — in Job-Room behind the AGOV login, or on the form it gives you; a tracker is the memory aid for that, not the proof itself.

1. SwissJobs.appOur tool
The tracker sits where you find the jobs: save it, tick "applied", the date stays — no copy-paste between two tools.

2. Huntr and TealA kanban board, a browser extension that saves from any site, reminders, statistics on your own funnel. As pure trackers they are further along than we are.
Why choose this one
- Price
- "Huntr Pricing Plans: Free and Pro" — a free tier and a Pro plan.
- Swiss
- No RAV form and no Swiss fields.
- Export
- "Job Application Autofill" fills in application forms on other sites.
- Reach
- Separate trackers for applications, contacts and interviews, plus Job Search Metrics.
What only this one does · best for

3. Job-Room (arbeit.swiss)The official channel the RAV point you to — what is recorded there counts.
Why choose this one

- Swiss
- The official Swiss platform: vacancies under the reporting obligation appear here first for registered jobseekers.
- Export
- No export into your own application file — the record stays on the platform.

- Swiss adverts only, no company career pages.
What only this one does · best for
- A required stop for RAV registrants: profile, job search and the contact with your adviser in one place.

What they do better
- Huntr and Teal: a kanban board, a browser extension that saves from any site, reminders, statistics on your own funnel. As pure trackers they are further along than we are.
- Excel or Google Sheets: free, endlessly adaptable, still yours if a vendor shuts down — and many RAV advisers accept a clean printout from it as an overview.
- Job-Room (arbeit.swiss): the official channel the RAV point you to — what is recorded there counts.
Where we differ
- The tracker sits where you find the jobs: save it, tick "applied", the date stays — no copy-paste between two tools.
- The same account as the CV check, the CV editor and the cover letter: from a saved advert to the matching CV is one click, not a change of tool.
- Four languages and Swiss adverts — not a translated interface over a US product.
- Free with a free account; the saved list is not behind a paywall.
- And the Swiss part: the RAV job-search record fills itself from the tracker — the official form is built from what you already log, instead of being reconstructed by hand at month end.
Why SwissJobs.app
Not one more tool, but the whole application in one place — and re-tailored to each advert instead of written once.
- Optimised per advert, in minutes. The CV check reads your CV against that specific posting, shows the missing terms and the fit score — and applies the fixes into the editor with one click. For the next role you repeat it in minutes, instead of sending one CV everywhere.
- Everything in one account. Job search, CV, motivation letter, CV check, interview prep, interview practice and the RAV record all work off the same advert and the same CV. No copying between four tools, no four subscriptions.
- Live AI interview practice. A spoken mock interview with the panel you actually expect — HR, a domain expert, whoever you name — rated per answer, with a pass-probability at the end.
- The RAV job-search record, filled from your tracker. What you already log fills the official form, instead of reconstructing it by hand at month end. It is a Swiss form that international trackers do not model.
- An editor that looks like a Swiss CV. Three typefaces, nine accent colours, two layouts — and underneath, the format that actually gets looked at here: work permit, language levels A1–C2, room for Arbeitszeugnisse.
- Our own job index alongside it. Over 21,000 Swiss roles in four languages — the advert you are optimising for lives in the same product.

Prices and free tiers

- SwissJobs.app
- Build 1 CV, tailor it with 5 AI edits, preview it — and download it once: all free, with no account at all. No email, no card. It is the second CV and the second download that ask for an account and the 7-day trial, then CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year.
About the numbers
About the numbers: every figure about another vendor comes from that vendor’s own page, fetched on 2026-09-17, and is kept as a quote. Where a vendor did not answer, that is what this page says instead of a number — prices copied out of comparison articles go stale and are often wrong on the day they are published. Our own figures come from the code rather than from marketing copy: CHF 15 a month, CHF 95 a year, 7 days free, and a free tier that costs nothing at all — not even an email address, until you want to keep the document. No price is given for Huntr, Teal or the other trackers on purpose: they were not checked on their own pages for this comparison, and copied figures do not go on our pages.
Track applications in one place
FAQ
- How many applications does the RAV require per month?
- Your adviser sets it case by case and records it in writing; figures around ten a month are common, but what counts is what your own agreement says. The efforts themselves go in the way your RAV asks — in Job-Room behind the AGOV login, or on its form. A tracker helps you remember; it does not replace the filing.
- What has to appear in the proof of job-search effort?
- Date, company, role, how you applied and the outcome. Your own overview should carry exactly those fields, otherwise you are reconstructing them at the end of the month.
- Is an Excel sheet enough as an application tracker?
- For the overview, yes. What it cannot do is remind you to follow up or connect a saved advert to your CV. With only a few applications running, the spreadsheet is all you need.
