Best CV checker for Switzerland
In short
Jobscan and Resume Worded are the best-known ATS checkers and good at what they do: they compare your CV with a job advert and show missing terms. Their reference point is the US market. SwissJobs.app checks the same fit against Swiss expectations instead — language levels, work permit, workload percentage, reference letters — and is usable on the free tier, Premium CHF 15 a month.

What they do better
- Jobscan: a very mature advert-to-CV match, with deep experience of large ATS systems.
- Resume Worded: strong line-level wording feedback, especially for English CVs.
Where we differ
- Swiss format built in: the photo convention, the work-permit line, language levels as A1–C2 rather than "fluent", room for Arbeitszeugnisse.
- Your CV is checked against a specific advert, not against a generic template.
- Four languages with their own pages — German, French, Italian, English.
- Free with no account at all, up to and including the first download: write the CV, tailor it to a specific advert, and take it away as PDF or Word — no email, no card. It is the second download that asks for an account and the trial.
- The fit report does not just list what is missing — it applies the fixes and the missing terms into the editor on a click. For the next role you repeat that in minutes, instead of sending one CV everywhere.
Why SwissJobs.app
Not one more tool, but the whole application in one place — and re-tailored to each advert instead of written once.
- Optimised per advert, in minutes. The CV check reads your CV against that specific posting, shows the missing terms and the fit score — and applies the fixes into the editor with one click. For the next role you repeat it in minutes, instead of sending one CV everywhere.
- Everything in one account. Job search, CV, motivation letter, CV check, interview prep, interview practice and the RAV record all work off the same advert and the same CV. No copying between four tools, no four subscriptions.
- Live AI interview practice. A spoken mock interview with the panel you actually expect — HR, a domain expert, whoever you name — rated per answer, with a pass-probability at the end.
- The RAV job-search record, filled from your tracker. What you already log fills the official form, instead of reconstructing it by hand at month end. It is a Swiss form that international trackers do not model.
- An editor that looks like a Swiss CV. Three typefaces, nine accent colours, two layouts — and underneath, the format that actually gets looked at here: work permit, language levels A1–C2, room for Arbeitszeugnisse.
- Our own job index alongside it. Over 21,000 Swiss roles in four languages — the advert you are optimising for lives in the same product.

Prices and free tiers
checked on the vendors’ own pages on 17 September 2026
- SwissJobs.app
- Build 1 CV, tailor it with 5 AI edits, preview it — and download it once: all free, with no account at all. No email, no card. It is the second CV and the second download that ask for an account and the 7-day trial, then CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year.
- Jobscan
- The free plan is, on the pricing page, "$0 forever" and includes "5 Free Resume Scans monthly". Unlimited scans cost $49.95 a month, or $89.95 billed every three months ($29.98 a month), the quarterly plan starting with a 7-day free trial. All prices are in US dollars. (Source)
- Resume Worded
- The scan is free: "Get a free expert resume review, instantly", on their own page. The full report is not, it is Pro that, in the page's words, unlocks the "full resume analysis", line-by-line analysis included. Pro costs $49 a month, $99 billed every three months ($33 a month) or one payment of $229 for a year ($19 a month), in US dollars. (Source)
About the numbers
About the numbers: every figure about another vendor comes from that vendor’s own page, fetched on 2026-09-17, and is kept as a quote. Where a vendor did not answer, that is what this page says instead of a number — prices copied out of comparison articles go stale and are often wrong on the day they are published. Our own figures come from the code rather than from marketing copy: CHF 15 a month, CHF 95 a year, 7 days free, and a free tier that costs nothing at all — not even an email address, until you want to keep the document.
FAQ
- What is the best CV checker?
- For the US market, Jobscan and Resume Worded are the most mature. For Swiss applications something else matters: whether language levels, work permit and workload percentage are checked at all — points a US checker does not know about.
- Does a robot really reject my CV?
- Applicant tracking systems rarely auto-reject; they sort and search. More important than "ATS optimisation" is that the terms and evidence the advert asks for actually appear in the CV.
