SwissJobs.app or a professional CV writer — human service or AI?
Updated:
In short
The difference is not the first dossier, it is the second application. A Swiss application-writing service charges between CHF 79 and CHF 179 for a CV and letter as of 4 September 2026, delivers in one to seven working days and includes one or two revision rounds; every further version tailored to a new advert is billed again. SwissJobs.app rewrites the CV onto the specific advert in about a minute, as often as you like, for CHF 15 a month. If you need one strong dossier, buy it from a person. If you answer several adverts a week, the human charges you per application.
The question is usually framed as human against machine, and that framing misses it. Both sides work from the same raw material: your Arbeitszeugnisse (the Swiss employer references), your career and the advert you are aiming at. At bewerbungsmeister.ch you fill in a questionnaire of roughly fifteen to twenty minutes after paying, and it asks for the job advert you want to apply to; at bewerbung-schreiber.ch the questionnaire takes five minutes and asks for your application target, meaning the advert or the field of work. Tailoring to the advert is the product on both sides. What differs is the price and the waiting time of the next version.
We are one of the two answers to this question, and we would rather say it than let you find out. What follows about the writing services was read on their own pricing, process and imprint pages on 4 September 2026; what follows about us was counted in the code and checked on our own pages the same day. Status: 4 September 2026.
Prices read off the providers’ own pages on 4 September 2026. premiumbewerbung.ch caps its CHF 189 thirty-day package at four complete applications, which is about CHF 47 each; a separately booked letter costs CHF 89 there. Labo CV in Lausanne prices an update of an existing CV at CHF 80. At bewerbungsmeister.ch the CHF 99 package with a letter written to your target job is the cheapest route to one more tailored application. With us the next version is included in the subscription.
- Price — writing service: one-off. premiumbewerbung.ch CHF 79 for a CV, CHF 99 with a letter, CHF 139 for the senior version; bewerbungsmeister.ch CHF 99 for a letter written to your target job and CHF 179 for the full dossier; in Geneva cvsuisse.com sells a written CV with two letters for CHF 39. SwissJobs.app: seven days free, then CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year, cancel monthly.
- Speed — writing service: premiumbewerbung.ch states one working day from payment and complete information, bewerbungsmeister.ch two working days, bewerbung-schreiber.ch four to seven with two to three on express, cvsuisse.com 48 hours. SwissJobs.app: the first draft takes about a minute, changes by instruction take seconds.
- Revisions — writing service: counted, and they expire. One round in the entry package, two higher up; bewerbung-schreiber.ch requires your feedback in writing and specific within three calendar days of delivery; cvsuisse.com includes four revisions over 30 days. SwissJobs.app: not counted but rationed by time — five documents a day and ten per rolling week on a free account, unlimited on the subscription.
- Tailoring to the advert — writing service: you supply the advert with the questionnaire and a person writes towards it. SwissJobs.app: the Swiss adverts are already here; you pick one or paste one, and the text is rewritten onto it.
- Files — writing service: PDF and an editable Word file, explicitly both at every provider we checked. SwissJobs.app: PDF and Word, neither watermarked; building and previewing need no account, downloading does.
- Languages — writing service: the German-language providers write in German, and bewerbung-schreiber.ch sells the English version as an add-on booked during the order. SwissJobs.app: our own pages and the documents in German, English, French and Italian, generated in the language you are using the tool in.
- The RAV sheet — writing service: none of the providers we checked offers it. SwissJobs.app: /arbeitsbemuehungen fills the official SECO job-search-efforts form from the applications you have recorded.
- Where the provider sits, and in which currency — writing service: bewerbungsmeister.ch gives a Swiss address in Neerach in the canton of Zurich; premiumbewerbung.ch writes that its company seat is in Germany and the offer is aimed at customers in Switzerland; bewerbung-schreiber.ch names a Ltd. based in Larnaca, Cyprus and prices in euros; cvsuisse.com bills in the currency you choose and marks its Swiss-franc price as an indicative conversion. SwissJobs.app: Swiss, priced in francs.
- Where the human wins — writing service: a named contact on the phone who decides what belongs at the front and what gets cut, and who answers for it. bewerbungsmeister.ch adds a thirty-day improvement guarantee, premiumbewerbung.ch advertises a single payment and no subscription. SwissJobs.app: nobody who will disagree with you.
Paid application help and the free routes
| Service | Cost | When it is worth it | Free equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Application-writing service | CHF 150–500 | when a second language is the barrier | AI draft plus your own rewrite |
| Application coach | CHF 100–250/hour | when interviews fail, not documents | RAV counselling, interview practice |
| Recruitment agency | free to you | access to unadvertised roles | applying direct to target employers |
| Temp agency | free to you | a way in without local references | applying direct, more slowly |
| RAV counselling | free | mandatory meetings, courses, measures | — it already is the free option |
| When paying makes sense | — | when you can name the problem | otherwise try the free route first |
None of these is pointless — they solve different problems. The question is which problem you have: a document that does not convince, or a conversation that does not go well.
What the services charge, checked on 4 September 2026
bewerbungsmeister.ch runs three tiers: CHF 29 for three Word templates you fill in yourself, CHF 99 for an individual letter written to your target job with one revision round and delivery within two working days, and CHF 179 for the full dossier of letter and CV with two revision rounds and a thirty-day improvement guarantee. Everything arrives as Word and PDF, and the process starts after payment with an online questionnaire of roughly fifteen to twenty minutes.
premiumbewerbung.ch is tiered the same way: CHF 79 for the CV with up to one revision round, CHF 99 for CV and letter with adaptation to sector and region, CHF 139 for what it recommends for demanding roles or a career change. A letter alone is CHF 89 there and a cover sheet CHF 39 — and the page itself points out that a cover sheet is not standard in Switzerland and not expected by most employers, which is correct and worth crediting.
Its most interesting product is a thirty-day package at CHF 189 covering a maximum of four complete applications inside thirty days, each adapted to the job and the employer. That puts a number on the table nobody else states: a human service prices four tailored applications in a month at roughly CHF 47 each. That is not a criticism, it is the price of a person’s working time. It is also the number this whole question turns on.
The rest of the country prices differently again. bewerbung-schreiber.ch bills by career level in euros — a complete set from EUR 169 for early-career applicants to EUR 578 at the premium level, single documents from EUR 99 — with four to seven working days as standard. In Geneva, cvsuisse.com writes a CV with two letters for CHF 39, delivered in 48 hours with four revisions over thirty days. In Lausanne, Labo CV charges CHF 170 for a letter, CHF 180 for a translation, CHF 100 to have work returned in 24 hours and CHF 80 to update an existing CV. In Chiasso, Easy Work writes a CV for CHF 50, a letter for CHF 20, both for CHF 60 and revises an existing CV for CHF 30, by appointment with its consultants.
Revision rounds are counted, and they run out
In the sales copy a revision sounds like a service; in the conditions it is a quantity with a deadline. bewerbung-schreiber.ch states it most plainly: one revision round is included for changes of content, and you must say what is wrong within three calendar days of delivery, in writing and specifically. premiumbewerbung.ch gives up to one round in the entry package and up to two above it. cvsuisse.com is the most generous of the group with four revisions across thirty days.
This is where the two offers genuinely differ, and it has nothing to do with writing quality. An application is rarely finished after the first draft: you read the advert again, notice that the management experience sits too low, decide the second paragraph should be shorter. With a written dossier that is one of the one or two rounds you own, and after that it stops or it costs. With a generator it is an instruction carried out in seconds, and the number of instructions is not the scarce thing.
The reverse holds too. If you are writing exactly one application and it has to land, one round with a person is worth more than twenty rounds with a tool. The person tells you the two-year gap needs explaining. A generator does what you ask and says nothing about what you did not ask.
A Swiss dossier is not a resume, and that decides who can write it
If you are applying from outside Switzerland, this is the part that costs people interviews. A Swiss application is a dossier, not a one-page resume: a motivation letter, a CV, and then Arbeitszeugnisse — the written employer references every Swiss employee receives when a job ends — plus diplomas. berufsberatung.ch, the portal of the cantonal careers-guidance services, lists exactly those documents, and summarises the task in one line: create a separate dossier for each application.
Around that sit conventions no international template carries. A photo is normal here rather than discouraged as it is in Germany. Language levels are stated as CEFR grades, B2 or C1, not as "fluent". Workload is a Pensum in per cent. Non-Swiss applicants state the permit — B, C or G — because the employer needs to know it. Across the five pages we opened at the three German-language services — home pages, one package page and the imprints — the word Arbeitszeugnis appears once and the German word for the permit not at all; that is a count of those five pages, not of everything they sell, but it is what a buyer sees before paying.
The same page also recommends the paid route without qualification: you can use professional help by going to a writing agency or attending an application course. We quote that although it argues for the other side. And if you are registered with the RAV, the unemployment insurance itself provides support and courses, which is the third option this question usually forgets.
What a person does that a generator does not
bewerbung-schreiber.ch describes its own work in the most honest sentence on any page we read: your questionnaire answers and existing documents supply the substance, not the wording, and the structure, weighting and argument are built new. Weighting means deciding what moves to the front and what disappears, and there it is decided by somebody seeing your dossier for the first time, without the filter you read your own career through.
You also get a person who can be reached. At bewerbung-schreiber.ch the contact is available by phone and email and stays the same until delivery; bewerbungsmeister.ch promises an answer within twenty-four hours on individually written documents. And there is an argument that outweighs everything else for some readers: one payment, no subscription. If you write a single application, CHF 99 ends the matter, where ours would be CHF 15 a month for something you never need again.
So there are readers for whom the paid service is the right answer, and we would rather name them than skip them: anyone applying for exactly one job that matters, anyone whose career does not explain itself, anyone who dislikes writing and has no intention of learning, and anyone who needs a second opinion from a human rather than another draft.
Our own row, counted in the code rather than recalled
The editor runs without an account: you can build a CV and look at it without signing in. The account is asked for when you save and from the second document, not before, and the export covers PDF and Word alike, neither watermarked. Then the ladder applies: five documents a day and ten per rolling week on a free account, the same limit for letters and for AI instructions, then a seven-day trial, then CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year, cancellable monthly.
The design is a combination rather than a gallery, and we would rather show the arithmetic than claim a big number: two layouts times three fonts times nine accent colours give 54 design variations on one Swiss format. A writing service hands you one layout chosen by a professional — which means one somebody thought about. What we add is what happens afterwards: every line editable by hand, plus a plain-language instruction that rewrites the document.
And one piece nobody else in this comparison has: /arbeitsbemuehungen fills the official SECO job-search-efforts form from the applications you have recorded. We produce the completed sheet; your RAV decides whether it is accepted, and your efforts still have to be recorded where they legally count.
Who should pick which
Take the paid service if you need one dossier that has to land, if your career needs explaining, or if you simply want the writing done for you. CHF 99 to CHF 179 spent once is money well spent, and you get a person who will push back.
Take SwissJobs.app if you are applying continuously — when one application turns into five or twenty. From the third tailored version in a month the generator is cheaper than any per-item billing, and the version exists in a minute rather than in one to seven working days. For the monthly rhythm the RAV requires, that is the shape that fits.
And the combination we think is the sensible one: have a person write one dossier when you are starting out and your material needs sorting — then do the twenty tailorings yourself. The human supplies the argument, the tool supplies the repetition. Paying full price for both is the only way to overspend here.
Prices, delivery times and conditions of the writing services come from our own visits on 4 September 2026: the home page and imprint of bewerbungsmeister.ch, the home page, package page and imprint of premiumbewerbung.ch, the home page and imprint of bewerbung-schreiber.ch, the order page of cvsuisse.com, the services and à-la-carte pages of Labo CV and the CV page of Easy Work in Chiasso. The count of how often Arbeitszeugnis and the permit are mentioned refers only to those opened pages, not to everything the providers sell. The official quotations come from the "Looking for a job" page of berufsberatung.ch, whose German wording we translate here. Everything about SwissJobs.app comes from our code and from visits to our own pages the same day.
